Project overview

Completed in 2026, this glamping project near Naples brings together a collection of insulated RTR 36 tents in the surroundings of Mount Vesuvius. Each tent provides accommodation for two guests, with a covered terrace and a private bathroom. Pathways made from lava stone sourced from nearby Vesuvius connect the tents, bringing a local material directly into the landscape design.

At the client’s request, both the exterior and interior fabric layers were made from PAN fabric. The dark grey colour was chosen to harmonise with the surroundings and reflect the volcanic character of Vesuvius. Together with the lava-stone pathways, exposed timber frames and wooden flooring, it gives the project a distinctive connection to its location.

Large glazed entrances bring natural light into the sleeping and living areas, while the covered terraces offer sheltered spaces to relax outdoors. The project demonstrates how the RTR 36 can be adapted to a client’s vision through carefully selected materials, colours and practical features.

Option List

Each RTR 36 features thermal insulation, PAN fabric on both the exterior and interior, and a wooden structure with metal connections. This project-specific fabric configuration was selected to meet the client’s requirements. The tents include wooden flooring, a covered front terrace and a glazed front wall with double entrance doors. Inside, a timber partition with a door separates the sleeping and living area from the private bathroom. Bathroom fittings include a shower, toilet, washbasin and bidet, together with a water heater. Electrical sockets and interior lighting complete the accommodation.
